Gone are the days of Core2Duo processors and integrated graphics iMacs. Apple updated the world’s most popular all-in-one computer to Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, and all models feature a dedicated graphics card.

“We took the world’s best all-in-one and made it even better,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “With the latest processors, high-performance graphics and signature aluminum and glass design, customers are going to love the latest iMac.”

The new Core iX processors features an integrated memory controller to access the system memory directly, allowing the new iMac to take full advantage of its faster 1333 MHz memory. The discrete ATI Radeon HD processors delivers smooth and crisp graphics iMac’s has never seen before. It is capable to run most video and graphic intensive applications and even the most demanding games in a breeze.

The new iMac also features a new displays technology called IPS that delivers an unbelievably wide 178 degree viewing angle. It also comes with a built-in SD card reader that supports SDXC format.

The new 21.5-inch 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 iMac, for a suggested retail price of $1,199 (US), includes:
